Installation Manual

The complete programme includes the following files

1.      1 cheque application file (also called .exe file)

2.     5 dbf files (listbene, ptycash, tatchq, tatdep, tatpro)

3.     2 mem files (chq, client)

4.     1 installA.bat file (To install from a diskette in drive)

5.     1 installC.bat file (To install from drive C when received by internet)

6.     1 installD.bat file (To install from a CD ROM drive D)

7.     1 installE.bat file (To install from a CD ROM drive E)

8.     2 doc or pdf files (installation manual, user’s manual)

9.     Remark: After using the programme for the first time, 3 ntx files will be added in the directory. A cheque shortcut file will also be added after creating a short cut to desktop for fast access of the programme.

 

How to install the programme Cheque?

From a diskette

1.      Insert the diskette in drive A

2.     From desktop, click on my computer, click on 3½ Floppy (A:), and click on installA. bat

3.     The programme “cheque” is now installed on drive C:/cheques

 

From a CD-ROM

1.      Insert the CD-ROM  in the CD-ROM drive

2.     From desktop, click on my computer, click on CD-ROM  (Usually drive D: or E:), and click on installD. bat or installE.bat with respect to the CD-ROM drive denomination. 

3.     The programme “cheque” is now installed on drive C:/cheques

4.     Remark: When the software is copied on a CD ROM, it is automatically converted as a read-only software. After installing the programme and before starting to use it, open the directory (default cheques) where the programme has been installed, using the mouse, right click on “cheque.exe”(application file) and select properties. On the general tag, untick Read-only and tick Archives. Do not tick Hidden.

 

   Received by Internet

1.      Create on the hard disk c: a new folder that you will name “installcheque”

2.     Save all attachments received with your email to the folder “installcheque” you have just created

3.     Open the folder “installcheque” and click on the file “installC.bat”

4.     The programme “cheque” is now installed on drive C:/cheques

5.     You can now delete the folder “installcheque” but we suggest that you make a copy of all the files on a diskette or a CD-ROM

 

 

   How to create a shortcut to Desktop?

1.      Open the directory c:/cheque

2.     Right click on “cheque.exe”, point to “Send to” then left click on “Desktop (create shortcut)”

3.     Click OK when the message “The new shortcut will be placed on the desktop” is displayed.

4.     That’s all. Your programme is now installed and you can open it by a click on the icon “Shortcut to cheque.exe”

5.     You can personalize the shortcut in renaming it, you can also change the icon from properties.

 

  Remark:

·        This programme is operating under DOS mode. Once you enter the cheque programme, the mouse is ineffective. Selection on the menu is done by either keying the item number or by moving the cursor with the arrow keys.
